Baby Fair

Well, October was kind of a yucky month at our house. We started the month off with both of the girls having strep and then Abbie got an awful virus that gave her a terrible rash that made her look like a speckled frog. Dan and I haven't been extremely sick but we haven't been feeling completely healthy either. Because we have been cooped up for awhile and everyone seems to be healthy at the moment I decided to take the girls to the Salem Hospital Baby Fair this past weekend. The girls got to dress up for a halloween costume contest and run around and play games for a few hours. They had a blast! Abbie got to compete in her 1st (and prob. only) Diaper Derby. There were 6 kids in her heat ages 16-18mo. The goal was just to run from start to finish. I had the "perfect strategy." Most people had another parent or grandparent at the finish line but I had ANDREA! And b/c Abbie loves her sis so much they yelled GO and Abbie ran so fast towards Andie that she knocked her over and both girls went rolling. It sure got the crowd laughing! I just wish I would've thought to bring the video camera. Andrea also had a great time going around to all the tables picking up pamphlets of all types of children information...like I need more junk in my house..haha!

Andrea's Preschool

In September Andrea started Preschool! Of course, being my daughter...she LOVES school. haha! Every morning she wakes up and wants to know if she gets to go to school that day. In the past month she has been learning the days of the week, the months, many new songs and name recognition. There are 10 3year olds in her class and 2 teachers so it seems like she gets lots of attention. Last week they went on a nature walk and she is already doing her 1st fundraiser (the church is trying to buy a new playground.) I am so glad that we decided to send her this year...It has really been good for her :) Here are a few pics of her 1st day!

Summer Highlights 2009

It has been a really long time since I have posted so I am going to try and catch everyone up on what's been going on with us. Scroll down to the posts below to see some of our summer highlights! Working part-time has really allowed us to have lots of fun and travel this summer. We were able to go to Chicago to see Grandma Slack, Tennessee to see Papa and Grandma Kay and stop at many zoos on the way:) Although we have had a great summer we are really looking forward to fall (my favorite season). On Sept. 10th Andrea will have her very 1st day of PRESCHOOL!! I can't believe it! So....stay tuned for all the posts about Andrea's new Adventures!!

The pics in this post are from our recent trip to TN!!

Summer in Chicago 09

These pics were from our summer trip to Chicago and Wisconsin Dells! In July the girls and I were able to spend over a week in Chicago with Grandma Slack, Great Gpa & Great Gma Gibbons. We had a blast going downtown to visit uncle Nick and Jen where Andie got her very 1st "American Girl" doll...Molly. We even got to see Uncle Nick's new condo!! As you can see from many of the pics we visited yet another zoo....Brookfield Zoo. Aunt Kat, Jake and Zac were able to go to the zoo with us and it was so much fun!! We also got to spend a long weekend at our favorite place the Wilderness Hotel in WI Dells! Despite the unseasonably cold weather we still had a great time!!

1 Year Checkup....Late

Last week Abbie went to the Dr.'s for her 1 yr appt. Due to our exciting summer and a busy dr.'s office Abbie wasn't able to have her appt. until she was 14 mo old. Abbie is still a tiny little thing weighing in at 19# 8oz (10th%) and 30 1/2" tall. The appt. went great! Dr. said she is exactly where she should be at this point. She had to get 4 shots but did suprisingly well.

Loving her 1st ear of Corn!
The girl CAN EAT! haha!
Always...so serious:)

It's finally on the Market!!

When we bought our house in Sept. 2004 it was the "perfect" house for Dan and I. As you all know since 2004 our family of 2 has become a family of 4 plus a dog and a cat. Because of these additions our little house is not so "perfect" for us anymore. On Monday August 24th at 9:00 we put our 1st house up for sale!! As many of you know we have been working ALOT on improving and updating our home. For those of you that are not physically able to see what we have done, I wanted to share some pictures.
